Read Aloud Day 2011 October 20, 2011 9 a.m. – 10 a.m. Registration Form SVA is looking forward to Read Aloud Day 2011, which will take place on Thursday, October 20th. On this day, over six hundred volunteers will share their love of reading with every pre-kindergarten through sixth grade class in the Bridgeport Public Schools. SVA has been fortunate to have a variety of volunteers ranging from caring people living in the greater Bridgeport community to employees of area businesses, from authors of children’s books to clowns from Ringling Brothers & Barnum and Bailey Circus join us in sending messages about the joy and value that reading can provide. Volunteers often tell us about the great conversations they have with their students and how pleased they were to donate the Read Aloud Day books provided by SVA to the classroom libraries.
